Abstract

Mathematics learning in VII C class of SMP Negeri 2 Mandiraja faces some problems, that are: low student learning interest, lack of student learning activeness, less of student learning creativity, rarely used of learning media that make monotonous learning process, unsatisfactory students’ achievement because of ineffective learning process, so it requires the teacher to make an improvement effort. As an alternative, learning through "Mi Bucamat" teaching aid with the help of Who Wants To Be The Winner quiz is used, so that the students' creativity and learning achievement increase. This research uses classroom action research (CAR) method that consists of 2 cycles. The purpose of this study is to improve the students’ creativity and learning achievement on quadrilateral. Learning through the use of "Mi Bucamat" teaching aids assisted by Who Wants To Be The Winner quiz can improve the students’ learning creativity. The criteria are very good and good in cycle 1 numbering 17 students or 68.75% in cycle 2 increasing to 20 students or 85, 41%. The final test result of the second cycle showed that there was an improvement compared to the results of the first cycle test, that is from 18 students or 75% who scored above the KKM increased to 22 students or 91.67%.
