Abstract

ABSTRACT: As one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama has a very significant role in the process of developing education, especially Islamic education. Historically the Nahdlatul Ulama movement itself is an educational movement throughout Indonesia. The existence of Islamic boarding schools, for example, is the forerunner of the education system in Indonesia with distinctive features and characteristics and is considered to have become an icon of indigenous people in establishing the ideology of education in Indonesia. However, in its development, even the Nahdlatul 'Ulama educational institutions are still experiencing various obstacles and problems. Especially regarding the philosophical-paradigmatic conception in strengthening the character of Ahlussunnah wal jama'ah annahdliyah. This reality encourages writers through the library research approach to view the need for a comprehensive study to find solutions to the problems of Nahdlatul Ulama education, both philosophically-paradigmatic, ideological-normative, and pragmatic-level practice. the development of education in the Nahdlatul Ulama through the educational institution Ma'arif NU.

ABSTRAK: Sebagai salah satu organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam proses perkembangan pendidikan, terutama pendidikan Islam. Secara historis pergerakan Nahdlatul Ulama itu sendiri merupakan gerakan pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia. Keberadaan pesantren misalnya, merupakan cikal bakal sistem pendidikan di Indonesia dengan corak dan karakter yang khas dan dianggap telah menjadi ikon masyarakat pribumi dalam memancangkan ideologi pendidikan di Indonesia. Namun demikian dalam perkembangannya,justru lembaga pendidikan Nahdlatul 'Ulama masih mengalami berbagai kendala dan problematika. Khususnya mengenai konsepsi filosofis-paradigmatik dalam penguatan karakter Ahlussunnah wal jama’ah annahdliyah. Realitas inilah yang mendorong penulis melalui pendekatan library research memandang perlu kiranya dilakukan sebuah kajian yang komprehensif untuk mencari solusi atas problematika pendidikan NU, baik terkait filosofis-paradigmatik, ideologis-normatif, maupun tataran praktik-pragmatis. pengembangan pendidikan Nahdlatul Ulama melalui Lembaga pendidikan Ma’arif NU.
